The desert material scans were performed outdoors in Southern California, specifically on an abandoned desert lot. Two distinct materials were captured, each with unique characteristics. The first material consists of soft sand and mulch from neighbouring tamarisk trees. While the other material exhibits a gravel-like texture, predominantly used as a pathway.
